Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a two-way die-cast zinc trailer connector for the truck side. This two-way die-cast zinc trailer connector is a round terminal pin truck side connector. It simply attaches to your vehicle and is commonly used to make a power connection between your vehicle and a trailer mounted winch or electric inaudible 00:00:22. This features a durable die-cast zinc construction with a spring loaded door to protect the terminals when not in use. It's a really nice design of the unit, and again, it is a durable die-cast zinc construction, so it's very strong and durable. It's going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion.
You can see right here it says two-way 6 to 24 volts. Mounting hardware not included, but it does have the attachment holes right here, so it has the mount holes pre-drilled. It provides a secure electrical connection between your vehicle and trailer. It features the vertical pin arrangement.Again, mounting hardware not included. The mount holes on the unit are separated on center by, looks to be 3 inches.
That's our hole separation, on center, 3 inches. Then back here you have the connection point, so this one right here says POS for positive, and then it has the plus sign right here. This one has the negative sign and then says NEG for negative. Will work great for my project
I received this item along with other related items today. I have had a chance to look at it and started to install it, but found that the mounting bracket I ordered (Pollak Bracket for Single-Pole Trailer Wiring Socket (PK11851) - PK11771) would not work as is since there is no room when mounted for the door on this product to open. In fact, it can't even mount to the bracket any way but upside-down which is probably not good. I am making a spacer to give more space so I can mount it properly. What this will do is provide a power source for a DC to DC battery charger for my LiFePO4 battery since the standard trailer connector won't charge a Lithium battery properly.
It looks well made and should last a long time. The price is reasonable but realize that no mounting hardware is enclosed. Since there may be more than one method to mount it, it isn't necessarily a bad thing as one can use whatever hardware is needed for mounting it.
just what I was looking for. Excellent quality and fair price. Will be used for dump trailer activation via truck battery using I/0 wire. Online chat was very helpful. I highly recommend the site if your looking for trailer parts and connections.
